Habitat for Humans
Planting Your Native Food Garden
free talk at 10:30am by Ildiko Polony, Nursery Manager

Incredible edibles - California native plants were essential to Native Americans for hundreds of years as food, beverage and medicine. During our December 3rd sale we will feature a few edible plants that will be mentioned in Ildiko's talk.

Ildiko will discuss Native Californian land stewardship and how management methods increased diverse food crops for human consumption. She will identify native plants that you can grow at home for food, beverage and medicine and discuss the best ways to cultivate them. Learn about edible native plants and then bring some home with you!
