This past Wednesday, the nursery volunteers pulled out weeds and transplanted yerba buena and California phacelia seedlings. It may sound like a typical, uneventful workday, but far from it. An attentive individual spotted a lizard scurrying along the greenhouse structure. The mystery of the chewed up cow clover was solved (ground squirrels), and three strawberries were discreetly harvested into the mouths of a lucky few. Mmm.. tasty tartness.
