Come "meet the mountain" on September 26th: a show-and-tell, science fair, art show, makerspace, and mountain-meet-and-greet!

On Saturday, September 26th, San Bruno Mountain Watch is excited to welcome you to the first "Meet the Mountain Fair" at the Mission Blue Center in Brisbane between 11am and 5pm!

This free community gathering will be a celebration of San Bruno Mountain, with opportunities for everyone—from new park visitors to long-time mountain explorers—to learn more about its ecology, history, and stewardship.

There will be:

• exhibits of mountain art and photography

• talks and presentations about the mountain's flora, fauna, history, and restoration projects happening on the mountain

• native plant displays from Mission Blue Nursery—and free plants!

• Botanical illustration workshop with Sami Chang from 12pm to 2pm! (limited space for this workshop, tickets required) (https://www.schangstudios.com/)

• display of ikebana flower arrangements using native plants

• microscopes for close observation of natural materials from the mountain

• powerful viewing scopes for looking out at the mountain from the Mission Blue Center

• food, drinks, and more!

• short film screenings!
